Board Game Geek is full of them, as are many Kickstarter updates. Designer Diaries are a great way to get into a designer’s head. ![]() Now how does this game work, exactly? And how does it not work, exactly? You need to settle any disagreements between mechanics and theme, maybe even introduce new ways of accomplishing a goal, new win conditions, stressors and relief, etc etc. You made a thing and it might have been tested in a limited scene, and then what? Who will remember a week from now? You have to care enough, and cling to every single encouragement you get, to move forward.
